HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR ORDNERBOT

Rattenschwanz started as an educational workshop with migrant youth in Berlin teaching basic skills in electronics and 3D printing. It has evolved into a surreal/unsettling/irresistibly cute investigation of the effect of bureaucracy on the lives of people living in Germany, including recent migrants, long-time residents, and native Germans.

Each Ordnerbot comes with its own quirks and unique personality and requires individual care and attention.

How to Turn on the Power

On the bottom of your Ordnerbot you will find a small portal with access to the internal electronics. Inside the portal are two buttons and a USB-C port.

To turn on your Ornderbot

  1. Press the Red Button first to activate the sensors
  2. Press the Black Button to turn on the power
 
 

How to Recharge the Battery

Your Ordnerbot comes with a rechargable battery.

To recharge your Ordnerbot

  1. Plug in the provided charger into the USB-C port
  2. Press the Black Button to turn on the power
  3. A green light should appear on the microprocessor, next to the USB-C port
  4. When the green light goes out, the Ordnerbot is fully charged!
